Save money and resources through early-warning

Don’t wait for visible decline in health of your environment. Our remote sensing solutions help you detect issues earlier, track change over time, and manage your environment with precision and confidence.

Most managers react when it's too late

Many teams still rely on field assessments or third-party mapping data that tells half the story. The result is a delayed response, increased resources, and large costs. By the time damage is visible and data collected, the opportunity to intervene efficiently is often lost.
You don’t need to work this way. ArborCarbon helps you make timely, informed decisions using data that’s rapid, relevant, rigorous, and built for practical outcomes.

What remote sensing really delivers

Remote sensing is not just about high-resolution images. It’s about integrating aerial, satellite, and field-based data to give you a complete picture of vegetation health and land condition. We collect the right data, in the right way, at the right time — then translate it into insights you can act on.
Our team doesn’t just supply data. We design the right sensing strategy for your situation, conduct in-field validation, and interpret the results through the lens of science and decades of experience.

What you get from ArborCarbon remote sensing

  • Bespoke platforms and sensors designed for vegetation measurement
  • Accurate insights before problems become costly
  • Early detection of stress, decline, or risk across large areas
  • Faster, evidence-backed reporting for compliance and decision-making
  • Time savings through automation and deep learning
  • Visual tools to track vegetation performance over time
  • Support to act early and build long-term sustainability outcomes

Our process:

1 Site and challenge assessment
We review your goals and challenges to design a remote sensing plan that fits your operational needs.

2 Data collection
We use fixed-wing crewed aircraft, UAVs, satellite, or hybrid methods depending on what the job demands. Our systems include multispectral, hyperspectral and thermal sensors.
3 Analysis and interpretation
Data is processed using a range of methods including machine learning and visualisation tools. Results are compared with ground-truth field data for accuracy.

The challenge

The City of Wagga needed to develop an Urban Cooling Strategy to increase community health, well-being and resilience through planning more sustainable future developments.

The solution

ArborCarbon deployed their aircraft and high-resolution airborne ArborCam system to map 318km canopy cover, vegetation condition, surface temperatures, and urban heat islands. The work supported the development of their Award-Winning Urban Cooling Strategy 2022-2052.

The impact

  • Identified cool and heat island dynamics with precision
  • Informed targeted urban greening initiatives
  • Helped secure long-term council funding for canopy expansion
  • City of Wagga won the Local Government NSW Excellence in the Environment Award for their Urban Cooling Strategy
