Briony brings a rare blend of scientific depth and practical diagnostic expertise to ArborCarbon. With over five years of experience in plant disease diagnostics, she has worked on some of Western Australia’s most pressing forest health challenges, including Phytophthora dieback and Quambalaria blight in Marri trees.
Her career began at the Centre for Phytophthora Science and Management (CPSM), where she led the Plant Pathology Diagnostics facility, providing rapid and accurate identification of pathogens affecting native forests, urban vegetation, and crops. This role honed her ability to turn complex laboratory results into clear, actionable guidance for land managers, researchers, and government agencies.
At ArborCarbon, Briony combines her field and laboratory expertise with new capabilities in Python scripting, machine learning, and data processing. As a fully certified RPA pilot, she plays a key role in capturing and interpreting airborne multispectral and hyperspectral imagery — helping clients move from reactive problem-solving to proactive vegetation management.
ArborCarbon acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
