Jeremy brings more than 35 years of expertise in amenity horticulture and arboriculture, with a career that spans hands-on tree surgery, government leadership, and national advocacy for urban forests.
Beginning as a trainee horticulturist at Kings Park in the mid-1980s, Jeremy went on to spend 12 years with a leading Perth arboriculture company, advancing through roles as climbing arborist, supervisor, manager, and consultant. His formal studies in arboriculture at Burnley’s Victorian College of Agriculture and Horticulture deepened his technical foundations and broadened his professional impact.
From 2005 to 2021, Jeremy served as Curator of Arboriculture for Kings Park, where he led the arboriculture team, botanical collections, and risk management strategies for all lands managed by the Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority. More recently, he directed the City of Fremantle’s Urban Forest Team before joining ArborCarbon.
Jeremy’s career reflects a consistent commitment to education, training, and advocacy. He has contributed to national and international projects promoting the preservation of amenity trees, and continues to apply his experience to support ArborCarbon’s mission of building healthier, more resilient urban forests.
ArborCarbon acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
