Paul is a forest pathologist and remote sensing scientist, and the Founding Director of ArborCarbon. For more than two decades he has pioneered methods to diagnose, monitor, and protect vegetation health across Australia and internationally.
At ArborCarbon, Paul leads Business Development, Client Engagement, and the integration of advanced remote sensing technologies with on-ground science to give governments, land managers, and industries practical tools to sustainably manage their vegetation. His work has set new standards in early warning systems, biodiversity protection, and long-term vegetation management.
Paul holds a Private Pilot licence undertaking test flights for ArborCarbon’s ArborCam camera system, is ArborCarbon’s Chief UAV Pilot (CASA-certified to 25kg RePL), and an Adjunct Professor at Murdoch University, co-supervising PhD students in forest health and remote sensing. He sits on the management committee of the ARC ITTC for CubeSats and UAVs, and is the President of Trillion Trees Australia — a 45 year old for-purpose organisation committed to restoring landscapes, rebuilding habitat and empowering people.
ArborCarbon acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.
